The odds are that most people will think that they are the same.

Well, in a way they would be right, except that sarcasm is a more nasty form of irony, used primarily to score points or to hurt.

It would be ironic if a daredevil stuntman renowned for performing death-defying feats fell off a step ladder and killed himself.

It would be sarcastic if someone referred to a tramp on a street corner as ‘Donald Trump’.

Some say that sarcasm is the humour of the intelligent while other call it the lowest form of wit.

Here at Ha! Magazine we employ both in order to satirize the world we live in today.

This resulted in six immediate invites to poker games, hosted by each one of his friends.  In each case he was advised to "bring his wallet," while Love sarcastically replied, "Yeah yeah, sure."

"I don't know why," said Love, "guess I just never got around to it. I watch the tournaments on T.V. sometimes, and it seems interesting, but I can't get my head around the whole game.  It seems pretty intense."

Love's friend, Bob Destiny, a stone mason, hoped Love takes him up on his offer. 

"I know Dennis is worried about getting taken to the cleaners," said Destiny, "but it's always a friendly game.  We never invited Denny because we knew he wasn't a gambler.  Now that he's interested, I hope he gives it a shot.  He can't be worse than Dave [another mutual friend]."

"There he goes again," replied Dave Fear, a local butcher and part-time contributor to SwinesWell, a barbecue-related blog.  "Bob runs his mouth more than his wife, and that's saying something.  Look, any time he thinks he can take me head's-up with straight Texas Hold'em, just name the time and place. Until then, he can just quit whining about losing to me last week."

PARIS. A HISTORIC court action was started here this week. The plaintiffs are the French Association of Clowns who are accusing the defendants, Banana Skins of flasely masquerading as a comic device.

René Pou-Pou, the clowns’ spokesman explained:
